Sample our local produce including award winning gourmet green tomatoes and olive products.
Explore the rich indigenous history of the Dja Dja Wurrung people, who used Bald Hill to send smoke signals – Boort is an Aboriginal word meaning “smoke from the hill”. Marvel at numerous scar trees, from which indigenous people took bark to make canoes and shelters.
Stay a while on the lush banks of the Lake, walk or cycle the walking tracks, and check out the abundant native birdlife.
Be amazed by the evolving Metal Sculpture trail. Boort is home to the “Spanner Man” and world class metal sculpture, and new works of art are installed around the Lake each year.
So if you want to explore and seek adventure, or relax and take in nature and sunshine, then Boort truly is a unique Northern Oasis.
